CFA Institute Names Barbara Petitt, Ph.D., CFA, as Editor of the Financial Analysts Journal
CFA Institute has named Barbara Petitt, Ph.D., CFA, as editor of the Financial Analysts Journal, effective today. In her role, Petitt will be responsible for managerial oversight of the FAJ, a periodical containing peer-reviewed research from financial industry thought leaders at the forefront of the investment management industry.
Petitt joins from her previous role as director, Curriculum Projects, EMEA, at CFA Institute, which saw her work on curricula for the organization’s educational portfolio including the CFA Program, CIPM Program and the Claritas Investment Certificate. In addition she is a key member of the Future of Finance team, on which she has worked closely on the creation of several tools, such as the Statement of Investor Rights and the Essentials of a More Secure Retirement, to empower the world of finance to create an environment where investors' interests come first.
Prior to joining CFA Institute, Petitt held faculty positions at Thunderbird School of Global Management in the United States, Bournemouth University in the United Kingdom, and SKEMA Business School in France. She also served as the director of Online Studies for the MSc in Management programs for the partnership between Laureate Online Education and the University of Liverpool Management School. Pettit is co-author of a book entitled Valuation for Mergers and Acquisition, as well as several articles in French and English peer-reviewed publications.

Petitt, based in London, United Kingdom, holds the CFA charter and a Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Grenoble, and a Master in Management from EDHEC Business School.
