The region is increasingly seen as attractive for business and investment. Following the Arab spring and the global financial crisis, significant public debate has emerged as to how the economies and markets will fare over the coming year. The CFA Institute Middle East Investment Conference is therefore very timely. It offers an extensive programme to address important financial and business issues in the Middle East. We look forward to the discussions that will inevitably emerge from it. We are excited to be hosting this year’s regional conference in Jordan for the first time.”
Commenting on the conference, Mr Jameel Al Anz, CFA, President of CFA Society Jordan, said: “We are honored to host such a prestigious conference in Jordan for the first time; which will be held under the patronage of His Majesty King Abdullah II, as bringing the conference to Jordan highlights Jordan’s investment opportunities and elucidates the steps it is taking to improve the environment for investment. This is a terrific opportunity for anyone who is interested in the views of some of the world’s leading investment and political minds in the market, and we are very much looking forward to the discussions that will inevitably emerge from it.”
Ahead of the conference, CFA Institute will also publish the findings of its Middle East Market Sentiment Survey which gauges the thoughts and opinions of almost 200 regionally-based investment professionals, highlighting a broad range of economic, investment and employment trends currently facing investment markets in the Middle East.
