CFA Institute Appoints Bjorn Forfang to Leadership Team as Managing Director of Relationship Management

CFA Institute, the global association of investment professionals, announces the appointment of Bjorn Forfang as managing director of Relationship Management effective immediately. Based in New York, Forfang will oversee the organization’s relationships with institutional investors, universities, governments, regulators, and member societies in the Americas, Asia Pacific and Europe, Middle East & Africa.

“As CFA Institute continues to drive meaningful change in the investment profession, we need strong leadership as we reinforce the importance of our stakeholder relationships globally,” said Paul Smith, CFA, president and CEO of CFA Institute. “Bjorn brings a strong combination of client management, consulting, and relationship management skills to this role, and his background and expertise will be invaluable in advancing our mission and strengthening our global connections.”

Forfang previously served as managing director with UBS Investment Bank where he held global relationship management roles in New York and London, and managed and worked with some of the finance industry’s largest institutional clients. He has more than 20 years of client and relationship management experience across the financial services sector. Forfang holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, and a JD from the University of Oslo.
