New York City United States
• Public health regulations and considerations due to the pandemic force select December exam location postponements
• Impacted candidates can re-schedule for dates in 2021
CFA Institute, the global association of investment management professionals, announces that local public health regulations and considerations due to the coronavirus pandemic require December CFA® Program exam postponements in 37 locations around the world, with the possibility of additional postponements to be announced in the coming weeks.
“While I know this comes as disappointing news to some of our candidates, the combination of local public health rules and the lack of venue availability means we cannot proceed with the exams in some markets,” said Margaret Franklin, CFA, President and CEO, CFA Institute. “I want to thank our candidates for their patience as we work through the impact of this public health crisis, and I assure them that we considered all options before making this difficult decision.”
Candidates will receive direct email communications from CFA Institute should their exam location be impacted. Candidates can also refer to the CFA Program web page for more information and FAQs. The latest information on the exams and postponements can be found at //www.shopwtn.com/en/programs/cfa/exam/exam-updates
As previously announced, all three levels of the CFA exams will transition to computer-based testing in 2021. Those exams will be administered in secure testing centers around the world, which provides for more testing flexibility in terms of dates and candidate booking. December candidates can re-book for exam dates in 2021. Candidates who have been impacted twice by pandemic-related scheduling changes may seek refunds.
The CFA Program exam schedule for 2021 is as follows:
-- Level I: February, May, August, and November
-- Level II: May and August
-- Level III: May and November
CFA Institute continues to monitor local health policies across the globe, tracking developments closely, and will adapt other examination plans as needed.
